Bluebell the copywriting cat

Dec. 22nd 2008

Jingle jingle jingle – Christmas is coming and we’ve been writing lots of Christmas words. But enough about words – you really want to know about our cat don’t you?

So you know our newly recruited copywriting cat? Well she’s got a name now.

We’ve named her Bluebell in memory of Oliver Postgate who died recently. Trivia fans will know that bluebell was the name of the donkey in Ivor the Engine. Our cat isn’t a donkey, she’s a copywriting cat, but we think it’s nice to remember a hero from our childhood.

Not much about copywriting news or anything – just a warm, Christmassy cat – but never mind. We’ll be back after Christmas with more on website copywriting, editing and cats.

Merry Christmas from the writing agency team including Bluebell

copywriting cats?

Dec. 8th 2008

copywriting_cats copywriting cats?

We’ve now got an official copywriting cat!

She hasn’t got a name yet, and she doesn’t live with us, but we’ve sort of adopted her by proxy. And we’ll be putting her to work with our team of professional copywriters. It’s not yet clear how good she is at copywriting, if she knows the ins and outs of search engine optimisation or what her favourite words are, but she likes comfy beds and scoffing cat food. If she’s no good at writing, she can make the tea or something.

So what should we call her? Ideas so far include:

  • Mrs Bigglesworth
  • Gloria
  • The Groak

For a team of copywriters you’d think we’d come up with some better names. What do you think we should call her? Let us know, or it’ll be Gloria, and no one wants that do they?
